Kolorova Wooden Cross Stitch Kit D-01 – Dream Town 1

Kolorova D-01 Dream Town 1 is a cross stitch kit on perforated plywood that builds into a colorful standing village of eight houses on a wooden base. You stitch DMC floss through pre-drilled holes in shaped wooden blanks — no fabric, no hoop — and the laser-engraved walls and rooftops stay in natural wood while the stitched areas fill doors, windows, and roof edges with color. Each of the eight houses gets its own palette (yellow, blue, pink, green, purple, orange, and more), so the finished scene looks like a row of cheerful painted facades. Tiny Preciosa glass beads add door-knob accents. A beginner-friendly mixed-technique project — if you can cross stitch, you can work on wood.

Project Notes

Cross stitch on wood works exactly like cross stitch on fabric — each stitch passes through a pair of pre-drilled holes — but the rigid plywood base means no stretching, no framing, and no finishing the edges. Stitch each house front, glue the felt backing for a clean reverse, then slot all the pieces into the stand to assemble the village. The layered layout places four smaller houses in front and four taller ones behind, creating depth. Instructions are provided in both Ukrainian and English with a clear visual chart, so nothing is lost in translation.
