Unicstitch 1085 Winter Angel is a counted cross stitch kit on perforated flexible plastic that produces a freestanding figure on a clear plastic stand shaped like a patch of ice. You stitch through pre-punched holes just like fabric, but the shaped base holds its form and becomes the finished piece — no frame, no hoop needed. This angel is captured mid-glide on ice skates, wearing a flowing blue-and-pink dress with a red scarf, brown curly hair, and white wings edged in beads. A strand of kid mohair thread adds soft, fuzzy texture to the scarf. The design combines DMC floss in 16 colors, kid mohair thread, and Toho glass seed beads — a mixed-media winter cross stitch project with a frosty pastel palette.

Project Notes
Cross stitch on perforated plastic works the same way as on fabric — each stitch passes through a pre-punched hole. The flexible plastic is durable enough for everyday display and won't crack if bumped. The kid mohair thread gives the scarf a fluffy, textured look — a fun technique to try if you haven't worked with mohair before. Once all stitching and beading is done, glue the felt to the back for a clean finish, then slot the figure into the ice-shaped stand. Display this skating angel on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, windowsill, or holiday table as a winter accent. Part of the Unicstitch four-season angel collection — see also 1053 Spring Angel, 1058 Summer Angel, and 1069 Autumn Angel. Collect all four for a year-round rotating display. A lovely handmade winter gift for angel collectors, ice skating fans, seasonal decor lovers, or anyone who enjoys mixed-media needlework.
