Kolorova DP-002 Spring Greens is a wooden Easter egg holder kit with cross stitch — a laser-engraved hen stand that cradles real eggs on a round base while a handmade cross-stitched egg ornament hangs inside the hen's body. The embroidery part is compact: you stitch a green botanical motif in DMC floss (3 colors) onto two small perforated plywood egg blanks, then hang them back-to-back on a cord for a double-sided finish. The hen itself arrives fully decorated with an engraved pattern — no stitching needed on the stand. Project Notes

Cross stitch on wood works just like cross stitch on fabric — each stitch passes through a pair of pre-drilled holes in the plywood egg blank. Stitch both egg shapes, thread them back-to-back onto the cord, and hang the finished ornament inside the hen's cutout — no felt backing needed since both sides are stitched. The stand assembles from flat-pack pieces in minutes. With only 3 colors of DMC floss this is a fast, relaxing project — ideal if you want to try cross stitch on wood for the first time.
