Project Notes

This is a counted cross stitch design on evenweave fabric — the fabric comes blank and you place each stitch over two threads by following the printed chart. The bicycle frame and wheels are done in backstitch, and the roses use rose stitch for a raised, three-dimensional effect, and the leaves are worked in lazy daisy stitch. With only 11 colors and no beads or metallics, the stitching itself is straightforward; the rose stitch flowers and lazy daisy leaves are the techniques that take a little practice.
